The battle for the best electric toothbrushes is in full swing and the competition is stiff. Here's a breakdown of the major electric toothbrush companies, makes and models and their most popular toothbrush options (complete with feature lists, pictures, accessories and reviews).

Sonicare (which is made by Philips) recently came out with their latest and greatest electric toothbrush yet. It's called the Philips rechargeable sonic toothbrush R 900 Series and boy does it pack a punch.

Naturally this electric toothbrush comes with all the bells and whistles. It boasts an improved toothbrush design to better cover your teeth and gums, three flexible brushing modes, two personalized cleaning routines, a "go care" and a "max care" setting.

Although not packed with all the bells and whistles of the Sonicare R900 series, this toothbrush will not disappoint. It has lots of travel features such as a two week charge holding time and comes with a travel case. It also has a built in two minute timer for the perfect teeth brushing.

The Latest Waterpik Electric Toothbrush
Although Waterpik is primarily known for it's water jets, they also have a sizeable rechargeable toothbrush array to choose from. One of their most popular models is the Water Pik Sensonic Professional SR-1000W.
