Interested in making money online? Use Revver video
Revver is a fantastic alternative to Youtube since Revver allows it's users to make money online more quickly and more easily than Youtube. Youtube is seen as THE authority in online video, but Youtube makes it difficult to make money using their website. Fortunately for us, Revver makes it very easy to make money online and the earnings begin rapidly.
If you're interested in learning how to make money online, consider uploading videos to Revver.com and enjoy earning money almost immediately. Read on if you'd like to learn how to do this!
Revver video now supported at Hubpages
It should be noted that Hubpages recently made Revver video available for use in hubs. This is important because a well written hub with a Revver video in it can greatly increase the number of views of your Revver video! Increased views of your Revver video = higher earnings at Revver!
Using Hubpages in your marketing strategy to earn money using Revver is vital.
Take a look here for the official announcement from Hubpages saying that Revver video is now available for use at Hubpages. Sign up for hubpages here (it's free) to take advantage of everything it has to offer. Trust me, if you do things right your online video viewership will skyrocket.
Revver video checklist
If I've got your attention now and you're serious about making some great supplemental income using Revver, here's an abbreviated list of things you will need in order to do that:
- Video Camera or camcorder (look below for my suggestions)
- A way to upload video onto your computer (see below)
- A Revver account (FREE!)
- A Paypal account (FREE!)
- Creativity and a little determination!
Additional tips about video
Here are a couple of additional tips to the checklist that you will want to think about.
Video camera or camcorder
What kind of video camera do you want? How much are you willing to spend? These are some good questions to keep in mind when thinking about producing video. I would recommend purchasing a video camera that includes an external microphone jack so you can have high quality sound from a separate microphone. A great place to look at for video cameras is at Web Video Zone, but if you're looking for something less expensive, consider buying the inexpensive Samsung SC-D363 camera on ebay. It can be found for as little as $100 brand new and is complete with an external microphone jack.
A way to upload video
This is typically done with the use of an additional, low-cost cord of some sort. This will depend on the type of camcorder you purchase, but they shouldn't cost you more than $10-20 dollars.
Revver and Paypal accounts (both FREE)
Revver's free account sign-up page can be found here and Paypal's free account sign-up page can be found here.
How it works- Revver's payment system
Although details of Revver's full payout plan can be found here, I will abbreviate it myself.
You get paid for your Revver videos based on how many views it has and how many people click through the advertisement links that occasionally pop up before and during the video.
The ads that roll during your video don't take up the whole screen so your video is still able to be watched while a small "pop up" advertisement appears in the bottom 1/4 of your video window. These ads are, of course, how Revver gets paid and how you are able to get paid by Revver, so you want them there!
Revver splits all profits with you 50/50. So for every $10 made, you get $5! You can also make money for posting another Revver user's videos! You can actually earn 20% of ad revenue from the video of other members when you post it on your blog, website, etc!

Here's a look at some real life earnings from Revver:
Final tips on how to make money online using Revver video
Keep in mind that content is key. Looking at my statistics, realize that most of my videos at Revver are of my cats being silly, baby videos and some other miscellaneous videos.
Your Revver earnings will increase if you have good, original videos.
The quality of the video directly impacts the viewership of your video. If you post videos of your cats being silly, expect to make a quarter per month, per video! If you post an original Simpsons introduction video, you can expect to have millions of views and probably tens of thousands of dollars!
And finally, even if you only post five videos at Revver and they each only earn you $0.25, you will still be making $1.25 per month! That money will continue to compound and add up and you don't have to do a thing!
When you think about it, the earnings you can (very easily) get on Revver can even be more than what most banks pay you in interest each month!
Submitting online video to Revver is a fantastic way to create for yourself a supplemental (or even primary) income source online. So what are you waiting for? Go out there and make money online by posting your video using Revver!

I have a new video camera and I might try these tips. Thanks for sharing this great hub. Glad to see you finally wrote a hub again after such a long time :).
Thank you for explaining this, Pete. I have a new Flip Video camera that I am eager to start putting to good use. Shot some footage of my twins at swim class last week, but that's about it so far. That Simpson's video was amazing. I can write, but not produce videos like that!
I didn't know I could make money with my YouTube videos. I made four slide-show-type, just messing around with Vista Media Center, and posted them on YouTube.
Great information and a service to Hubbers. Thanks.
Thanks for this. I just uploaded my first video to Revver. It's of my cat meowing when he wants out. I only have a camera phone. One of these days I'll get a "real" video camera.
My user name there is uninvitedwrite :)
good advice
Excellent Wedding Consultant. I am going to have to give it a go.
hi dear good advice, I will try ..
thanks
very cool hub... i'm definitely going to check out revver in the near future... sounds like a very entertaining way to make some extra cash :-)
Pete,
My video career is small to say the least, but I will check this out. Great information.
Hi Pete, this is very helpful info! I really had no idea what revver was all about. Thanks for sharing this. :)
Gosh I just learnt how to write competently and now I have to try video! I'll check it out though - thanks for the hub
Nice hub. We'd love to see more people using Revver on HubPages. As soon as it reaches critical mass, we'll add Revver as an affiliate option so that you can get the 20% revenue share they offer for just sharing other people's vidoes (as opposed to the 50/50 split they offer to the creators, which you will get currently).
Excellent hub Wedding consultant! Really!! you have given me a good kick up the backside to do this.. To make money and add pizazz to hubs sounds great!;)
As above i dont have the equipment anymore but i will be watching this page and comments!!
Thanks;)
Im on the case!!....thanks again;)
I Love this hub!
it looks like im gonna have to impliment rever into my hub!!!
Cheers, TeenZoned http://hubpages.com/hub/Bum-Marketing-tips
Hmmm...contemplating to acquire a videocam or not. :) You made us all think twice Pete hahah great review and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this information.
Wonderful information! It gives me some great new ideas for hubs...as soon as I can find time to produce them! :-)
Great tips WeddingConsultant. I still have to learn to convert the video to Youtube, the formatting is all screwed up. I also have problems adding sound to video, if I could solve that then I can add plenty of tutorials.
Great hub, and I found this by doing a Google search under for the question "how much money can I make with revver." I had just signed up with revver andI was curious as to the potentional. Can you post videos on YouTube and revver at the same time?
I actually really like revver. I'm not a fan of new things, but thought I'd give it a try when HP started accepting the revver videos. I love when I log in and see a few more pennies in my account page.
I never knew that you could check your earnings per video, so there's something I definitely learned from reading this. I've earned $2.07 since April. Not much, but pretty cool since all I did was record and upload. I think my top earners have like 0.38, 0.37, and 0.32. lol
I know on my blogs when I can't really think of something to write or when I just want to post a new blog entry, I tend to post a video. I think I'm out of my own though, and I've had to move on to other people's. lol. Do you know if blogger excepts the Revver share revenue, or whatever it's called when you post another person's video and you get a percent of the cash?
I know I've seen people upload like 3-5 videos a day on Revver. I think that's nuts! I guess they're recording TV clips and whatnot. I never pay much attention the them, subscribed to their videos. Oops.
I love this HUB! Thanks Consultant. Perhaps you should change your name to HUB consultant =)
This is a great hub. Thank you for all the information. You did a super job of covering a lot of subject matter. Easy to read ...good links ..and hey ..maybe we could make some money too ...this is a great idea! Thank you for sharing ...My best to you ..See you again!
W.C. I understanding the share revenue, but do you know if Blogger accepts it. I know that it's not compatible with HP, but is it compatible with Blogger. Also, do you know what option to use when posting revver videos on myspace? I tried and couldn't figure it out.
Never heard of this. Sounds interesting. Thanks!
Thanks for the info! I'd never until I read this, and I'm planning to launch a vlog here in the next couple of weeks, so I'll definitely put this to use.
I just checked out the revver site, Great opportunity. Thanks for introducing it to hubpages and hope it will be included as an affiliate option soon as pauldeeds has mentioned.
Very interesting! It seems the time to try earning money with Revver.
Special thanks for providing your statistics!

Hi WeddingConsultant
I recently joined Revver and submitted my first video.
I have been using Youtube for a while and recently started video blogging.
I place the same videos on a wide range of Video sites to get maximum exposure, but super stoked that they can return an income as well.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
I learnt some really cool tips in here.
