Blue sapphire is my absolute favorite color. I love the color so much that I bought my high school class ring with a beautiful blue sapphire stone in it, even though it wasn't my official birth stone.

I agree totally! My wedding set features a diamond surrounded by sapphires and smaller diamonds. It is so unique and beautiful - now it's even more special since I know the symbolism that the sapphire carries.

I really do want to get married. I want a blue sapphire engagement ring. To me the sapphire is more beautiful than a diamond engagement ring. Diamonds to me are grossly over priced. I hope I can talk the guy I am going to marry into agreeeing with this. I think it is very special and beauitful stone
Sapphire is not the birth stone for those born between April 21 - May 20th. The Emerald is the birth stone for Taurus.
Good article, but sapphires are not the Taurus birthstone. That is emerald. Unfortunately, it makes me doubt the credibility of this article.
